Climate United 2026 Impact Report
Climate United
September 28, 2026

Climate United was awarded $6.97B from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in April 2024 to provide affordable, accessible financing for clean energy projects through the National Clean Investment Fund. Climate United executed our award with the EPA in August 2024 and funds were fully dispersed shortly thereafter. We got to work meeting with stakeholders across the country, closing four financial assistance transactions, accepting over 100 grant applications, and building a team to deliver results to American communities.

Unfortunately, in February 2025, our funds were abruptly frozen. Without access to our grant funds, Climate United has been forced to scale back operations significantly. Restoring access to funds is critical for maintaining progress on our workplan-established goals.

Despite challenges and setbacks, Climate United remains committed to transparency and accountability. In compliance with EPA requirements, this report captures our limited activity during our second annual performance period from July 2025 to June 2026.
